This free event for girls aged 12 - 18 is entering it's sixth year! Each year presents a different theme with break-out sessions centered around the theme.

This years sessions are being finalized but will include sessions run by "Girls on the Run" and AWS. Themes will include self-care, media literacy, STEM, the power of female identity and more.

Join us for a full morning of growth and empowerment.


Speakers

Breana Turner | Emcee

Breana Turner is a dynamic speaker, doctoral candidate, and proud Loudoun Women’s Hall of Fame inductee. From the pageant stage to the TEDx stage, Breana champions women’s health, voice, and visibility. With a background in public health and a focus on Black women’s wellness, she brings warmth, wisdom, and infectious energy to every room she enters. Her mantra, “Princess and the PhD,” proves that girls can do it all—and do it well.

Shiwali Patel | Keynote Speaker

Shiwali Patel is the Senior Director of Safe and Inclusive Schools & Senior Counsel at the National Women’s Law Center, where she leads national advocacy to address sex-based harassment in schools and protect students’ rights to learn in safe, supportive environments.

Her career has been devoted to advancing equity and opportunity for women and girls. She previously worked at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, where she helped shape Title IX guidance on schools. Shiwali has also served as an Administrative Judge, a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Unit, and a community educator at the D.C. Rape Crisis Center.

She currently Co-Chairs the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights’ Education Task Force and serves on the Board of Directors of Callisto. Shiwali brings a powerful voice for justice, resilience, and empowerment, inspiring girls to lead with courage and confidence.

Francina Segbefia | Co-Leader, “Building Strength Inside and Out”

Francina Segbefia is a powerhouse in every sense of the word—lawyer, mother, and fitness leader with more than 15 years of experience leading movement classes across the DMV. A former marathoner, dancer, and figure athlete, Francina credits movement as the confidence-builder that shaped her career and leadership journey. She brings lived experience and high-energy inspiration to this powerful workshop.

Christina Link | Co-Leader, “Building Strength Inside and Out”

Christina Link is a certified fitness instructor, intuitive life coach, and breathwork facilitator who guides women and girls toward strength through mindfulness, movement, and self-trust. She is passionate about helping young people listen to their inner wisdom, embrace their power, and take bold steps toward their dreams.

Dr. Suzanne Nixon | Leader, “Strength Through Vulnerability”

Suzanne is a licensed professional counselor whose life work has been guided by a deep belief in the potential of women and girls to lead lives of strength, courage, purpose and authenticity. She is dedicated to creating environments where women and girls are supported in their personal growth, find their inner voice, speak their truth and build the confidence to lead – in their homes, schools, workplaces and communities.

Suzanne is the founder and CEO of Integrative Counseling & Relationship Therapy, Inc., a woman-owned business she has built over decades as a lifelong entrepreneur. 

Suzanne has been recognized by the citizens of Loudoun County for her excellence in counseling and innovation in integrative care with their votes in the People’s Favorite Psychotherapist in Loudoun Now’s Favorites and Loudoun Times Mirror Best of Polls for a combined 12 years. In 2021 she was one of the recipients of the prestigious Loudoun 100 Awards.
