The Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls (LCWAG) is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization under the direction of its governing Board of Directors. This is a part-time position offering a meaningful opportunity to advance equity, advocacy, and empowerment particularly in support of women and girls in Loudoun County.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate and strategic leader with a deep commitment to social impact, nonprofit management, and community collaboration. While the role supports remote work, it requires regular engagement with the Loudoun County community through key in-person events, meetings, and partnerships.

The Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls (LCWAG) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonpolitical organization that promotes leadership development and fosters an inclusive community for Loudoun's women and girls through education, collaboration, and empowerment. LCWAG is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization funded through grants and generous, private donations.
Position Summary
The Executive Director is the chief administrative and executive officer of LCWAG, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. This role demands a mission-driven, results-oriented leader with demonstrated success in nonprofit management, fundraising, and community engagement. The Executive Director will be responsible for implementing the organization's strategic vision, strengthening its visibility, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including volunteers, donors, partner organizations, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Leadership
Manage daily operations of the organization.
Supervise, motivate, and support part-time staff and contractors (e.g., marketing).
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish and execute organizational priorities and goals.
Provide regular updates and reports to the Board.
Recruit, manage, and engage a diverse team of volunteers.
Represent LCWAG at public events, community meetings, and relevant convenings.
Respond to media inquiries and support media coverage of LCWAG initiatives.
Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to expand reach and engagement.
Undertake other duties as required in alignment with the organization’s mission.
Financial Oversight
Develop and maintain the annual organizational budget in collaboration with the Board Treasurer.
Ensure sound financial management and compliance with audits, grants, and tax regulations.
Maintain accurate financial records; prepare state and federal reports and tax submissions in consultation with the Treasurer.
Fundraising & Development
Design and execute innovative fundraising strategies aligned with LCWAG’s goals.
Foster relationships with donors, sponsors, and philanthropic partners.
Lead planning and coordination of fundraising events, both existing and new initiatives.
Write and submit grant proposals; manage grant reporting and compliance.
Establish strategic partnerships with organizations aligned with LCWAG’s mission to enhance impact and visibility.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership and management experience in the nonprofit sector.
Proven success in fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.
Strong experience managing and supporting volunteers.
Familiarity with organizations focused on women and girls is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Strategic, creative thinker with a deep passion for advocacy, equity, and empowerment.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
Local candidates are preferred - strong knowledge of Loudoun County is a plus.
Compensation & Work Environment
This is a part-time position (25 weekly hours) with an annual salary of $45,000.
Remote work is supported, with the expectation of in-person attendance at key events and meetings.
