LCWAG Appoints First Executive Director to Support Organizational Advancement

Loudoun County, VA — 11/24/2025 — The Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls (LCWAG) announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Gerry McGuire Vent as the organization’s first Executive Director, effective December 1, 2025. This appointment represents a significant step in LCWAG’s development and enhances its capacity to serve women and girls across Loudoun County.

Since its founding, LCWAG has advanced its mission through leadership-focused initiatives that promote education, equity and opportunity. The organization’s established programs, including the Biennial Women’s Hall of Fame, the Annual Girl emPower Summit, now in its sixth year, and the Women’s Empower Entrepreneurial Summit, have seen continued growth in participation and community engagement. In response, the Board determined that a dedicated executive leader is essential to support LCWAG’s operational needs and guide its strategic direction.

“Our Board is pleased to take this important step in LCWAG’s evolution,” said Stacey Metcalfe, LCWAG Board Chair. “Gerry brings extensive experience and sound judgment, both of which are vital as we strengthen the organization and ensure its long-term effectiveness.”

Vent brings more than 30 years of nonprofit leadership experience, with expertise in strategic planning, organizational management and donor relations. In this role, she will work closely with the Board to oversee daily operations, support program implementation and reinforce LCWAG’s infrastructure for sustained impact.

“It is an honor to join LCWAG at such a pivotal moment,” said Vent. “I look forward to collaborating with the Board, volunteers and partners to advance opportunities for women and girls throughout Loudoun County.”

The establishment of the Executive Director position ensures that LCWAG is well positioned to expand its programs, strengthen partnerships and uphold the mission and values that have guided the organization since its inception.
